is slated to become the home of the Robert Bateman Art and Environmental Education Centre, the only permanent collection in the world of the renowned artist's works. The $10 million centre, which is expected to open in 2010, will house an extensive collection of Robert Bateman's original artwork and prints, Robert and Birgit Bateman's photographs, and archival material such as sketch books and correspondence. It will also host exhibits of other artists as well as environmental educational programming.
